A Quiet Thanksgiving...

The feast is in the fridge... except the French Silk pie; that's in my belly!

The house is quiet... aside from the occasional Nerf gun blast and the traditional football game in the background.

Even Oakley is resting after chowing down on his food flavored with Thanksgiving gravy.

I am sitting on the couch with the ad's by my side. As soon as I am finished with this post, I will be mapping out my plan of attack on this years Black Friday festivities.

ALL IS GOOD!

This year was a little different compared to all the years past. It was quiet. Just the four of us for actual Thanksgiving dinner. It has NEVER been just the four of us. My mom stopped by for a bit, but other than that we were solo. I kinda have mixed feelings about this. On one hand it was nice... no pressure. On the other hand it made me realize that even with ALL THE WORK that goes into having everyone here(I usually host)... I prefer the gathering of family.

Don't get me wrong... peace and quiet has perks of its own.

I hope you all have a full belly and a full heart this Thanksgiving.

Our Thanksgiving is full of family, but my Christmas is very quiet every year -just my family and inlaws. I know what you're feeling with the mixed emotions. I love the crazy and yet I also love the peace. I hope you had a wonderful day, and have lots of fun tomorrow!

Yup- full belly AND full heart! We keep it low key, too. Honestly, I prefer it that way! <3 to you!! And Happy Shopping!!

Full belly, full heart...full home!!! CRAZY times over here in the Maher house. Have fun shopping today. I cannot wait to hear how it goes.

Sounds like it was a very nice Thanksgiving!! It's always such a hard trade-off between a small, peaceful gathering and a huge holiday with family. Both are so nice, in their own way.

Good luck with your Black Friday shopping. I think I'm going to avoid the stores today. (I'm a whimp!)

Sounds like a nice and "relaxing" kind of day. I'm not sure which I would prefer...

On another note, I have been letting my son read all of your comments and he is really bummed that we don't live closer. He would love to meet Justin!!! I bet they would have a blast together!!!
